Imperialism through the prespective of an African Soldier.
One day me and the others in my tribe were doing our usual for the town and its people. It was like any other day; hunting, fishing, training new soldiers, town peopleselling food/clothes etc. But one day i got this strange feeling like something bad was gonna happen, I dont know but i just had that feeling. It was a cloudy day not that much happiness in the town. Then in the distance a group of soldiers on horseback running at us with red coats, for it was the Euoropean Soldiers....I knew it was not going to be good. They had better soldiers and weapons compared to us and they were well more trained than our soldiers and they were smarter. For they have come to take my people in slavery for their greed and to take all of our great natural resources for their wealth. They had taken over my tribe. This caused the African soldiers to start thinking on what to do and how they are going to. They had no chance of escape and sometimes had to fight for their food because they weren't fed and with that they had no energy to revolt. In my camp that i was takeng to many people were dying. This was how it was going to be from now on, and only god can save us................. ~ How its was Stopped ~"When Henry Stanley found Dr. Livingstone in 1871, Stanley found out about the horrible "New Slave Trade". In fact, the slave trade that the Swahili controlled was by no means "new", but hundreds of years old. Efforts to stop slavery were helped by the black African pallbearer, Jacob Wright, when he accompanied Dr. Livingstone's body back to England. Jacob Wright's honorable deed motivated the morally correct British to stamp out the slave trade. Shortly there after, the British Navy stopped Zanzibar from trading with anyone in 1775. Zanzibar had a change of moral conscience almost instantly and decided that slavery was bad. The embargo was effective and rewarding for the British. Euorpe need resources.
Africa had lots and they had no good army, europe saw that and took advantage.
This then started Slavery.
This then Causes African Armies to revolt.
Then in the future with all this commosion the value on a TREATY.
Till this day we still suffer from........... For example, we still want resources from other countries, but we don'g go in to a country bombard it etc. we buy from other countries now. If you were to just go into a country and try to take it over most likely no matter who you are you would not win. Seeing as in how lots of countries are allies with each other. I think the African Imperialism had an impact on todays modern life.
